Board sports, the arts, nature, tech

Design, art, outdoor life, and experiments under one LoweGrade roof.

LoweGrade is the work of Robert Lowe: design, 3D studies, posters, product ideas, and field notes shaped by weather, machinery, trails, music, and the places life actually happens.

About

Built from real work and real life.

LoweGrade is not starting from scratch. Older work already connected boardsports, the arts, nature, and tech through posters, layouts, illustration, and early identity ideas.

Now that thread is being picked back up with more life behind it. Robert Lowe brings design training, mechanical knowledge, WordPress and content work, Blender exploration, and years of outdoor and equipment work into the same project.

The aim is simple: keep the art, identity work, products, notes, and experiments connected so LoweGrade feels like one home base instead of a pile of unrelated projects.

Working Lanes

The work is settling into four public lanes.

They overlap on purpose, and together they show how LoweGrade is taking shape. Behind the scenes, the workspace is getting clearer: projects have lanes, references have boundaries, and the next public pieces are easier to choose.

01

Identity and Editorial

Brand marks, formatted documents, posters, layouts, and visual identity work that help LoweGrade hold together online, in print, and in physical pieces.

02

Field and Form Studies

Blender experiments, wave and geometry references, texture tests, and observations from roads, weather, trails, and machinery.

03

Products and Small Drops

Printable artwork, digital resources, mockups, and lightweight releases that grow naturally from the work.

04

Process and Notes

Project notes, field logs, experiments, archive finds, and behind-the-scenes material that show the work developing in public.

Creative Philosophy

The work should feel observed before it feels designed.

Nature, weather, rhythm, proportion, and worn materials all feed the work. Geometry helps hold it together, but the energy should still come from real places rather than empty styling.

Reference direction: wave motion, sacred geometry, and proportional structure.

The look should feel tactile and deliberate. Motion matters, but it needs structure. Warmth matters, but it still has to earn its place.

It still comes back to the same mix: board sports, the arts, nature, and tech.

Observation before performance

Study real rhythm, form, weather, and pressure before adding surface detail.

Structure carries emotion

Geometry, proportion, and layout do the hard work beneath the mood.

Texture must be earned

Outdoor references, halftone instincts, and material warmth should support the work, not camouflage weak structure.

Keep the thread connected

The site should show connected work in motion, not scattered interests dressed up as separate brands.

What's Next

The next few steps are straightforward.

Keep the site clear, add more work, and let it grow at a pace that still feels real.

Now

Keep the home base sharp

Keep the copy, layout, and current pieces clear while the workspace behind them settles into real lanes.

Building

Turn lanes into entries

Shape field notes, visual studies, physical builds, and process work into public pieces as they earn it.

Next

Choose a first small drop

Pick one digital or print-ready piece that fits the site naturally and can be finished cleanly.

Later

Keep a steady rhythm

Add updates, links, and channels as the work is actually ready for them.

The internal workspace is getting cleaner now, which makes the public path simpler: choose the strongest pieces, write them clearly, and let the site grow from real work.
